Oriel is a
high drive female, with sound nerves and excellent conformation.
She is well balanced in her drives and has been tested for soundness
to gun fire (22 and 38 special). Steady nerves and a great
competitive attitude make her a pleasure to have by your side at
competitions and make her a winner.
She is the # 1 Beauceron in the
United States.
Oriel is out of one of the most prestigious
kennels in France. Her pedigree contains multiple French Champions (in
France only 4 dogs per year can receive this title) and ALL dogs within the
last 3 generations have received "Excellent" as a hip rating and
acquired the highest possible breed-worthiness rating possible (Elite A).
Oriel's sire is Fr. CH. Jody des Assiers, Elite A and her dam is Fr. CH. Hawai
des Assiers, Elite A. This was a repeat breeding of her sire and dam,
and previously produced Fr. CH. Lapon des Assiers, Elite A.
Oriel's show career
has been very successful. Her first appearance at the NABC's National
Specialty in September 2000, Oriel took Meillure Femelle de la Journée - Best
Female in Show honors.
In 2002 Oriel became an
International UCI CACH Champion under IABCA. We closed out the
year with an attendance at the 2002 Journée du Beauceron, which was
judged by the President of the French Club Les Amis du Beauceron, M.
Alain Thevenon. At the end of a long and hot day, Oriel showed
everybody that she is a force to be reckoned with in the show
ring. With great attitude, movement, focus and excellent
conformation, Oriel beat out the crème de la crème of Beaucerons in
this country, taking home the Meilleur de
la Journée (Best in Show) trophy. It was quite an exiting day.
Much thanks has to go once again to my husband who is my road-manager
:-), dog exerciser, baby-sitter, massage therapist and so much
more. My love and thanks to my 6-year old daughter Taylor, for
being an excellent little helper, for being our biggest fan who always
roots for us at ring site, and for being the best kid a dog-nuts
mother could have.
